Glenda Lucille Love (Gage), 85, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many, died on April 1, 2025. She was born June 21, 1939 in Quanah, Texas, and lived all over the United States during her life, including time in Pueblo, Colorado; Amarillo, Texas; Boston, Mass; Dallas, Texas; and most recently, San Ramon, California. However, she spent the majority of her life in Atlanta, Georgia.
Glenda was an avid reader, gardener, made her own clothes, and ran a small antique business. Wherever she lived, she always made many friendships and possessed a ‘wicked’ sense of humor. She was an amateur philosopher who always shared her wisdom and advice as a lifelong learner.
Glenda was a pioneer and leader in the pest control industry, as the first female commercial salesperson, business owner and the first female to serve as the head of the Georgia Pest Control Association in 1982. She was inducted into its Hall of Fame in the 2010s. She was named a Top 10 Woman in Business in America in the 1980s for her work in the pest control industry. Glenda planted the seeds for thousands of women in what is now The Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM). During her long career, she took an interest in and mentored many people who she worked alongside.
She is survived by her children David, Gene, and Scott; granddaughters Rachel, Jessica, and Samantha; and many others who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leanne Love; and parents Marvin Buster Gage and Pearl Lucille Gage (Nichols)
Cemetery: Quanah Memorial Park
